Both the AFA-1
and
AFA-4 meters are widely used in vehicles. The
AFA-1
should not be used in very stiffly sprung cars such as the professional
level formula cars as it is not designed to take the extreme road
vibration found in those cars. The
AFA-4 can be used in any racing
vehicle.
Both units have been tested and are known
to work when connected to the following electronics:
- CDS
Commander II
Data Systems.
- All other data systems commonly used
in IRL, CART, SCCA, and NASCAR
Either Air/Fuel meter can also be connected
to any data acquisition system which:
- Has general purpose analog voltage
inputs.
- Has software having the ability to
enter a calibration for the voltage input.
